The hedge fund business is one of the few financial sectors that resembles a growth industry.
"In South Florida, you do see a lot of hedge funds setting up," said Keith E. Sharkey, a co-founder and a director of Kaufman Rossin Fund Services, a sister company of public Miami based accounting firm Kaufman, Rossin. "We do adminstration for close to 300 funds, and a lot of them are in South Florida."
Sharkey said his company's hedge-fund clients include Calvo Funds in Miami, Consilium Investment Management in Fort Lauderdale and Tunnelbrook Capital in Coral Gables.
