James R. Kaufman, CPA

Founding Partner of Kaufman, Rossin & Co, Jim Kaufman presently serves as Managing Shareholder. Professional responsibilities include the Firm's audit, litigation, and viatical escrow services practices. He has overseen the Firm's hedge fund services practice since its inception over 15 years ago and now serves as an Officer of KRFS.

Kaufman graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's in Business Administration in 1957, and is a member of the University Hall of Fame. He's a CPA licensed with the State of Florida and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and is a frequent lecturer.



Keith S. Sharkey, CPA

Keith Sharkey is a shareholder in Kaufman, Rossin & Co., and a co-founder and Officer of Kaufman Rossin Fund Services (KRFS). Sharkey has been with the Firm family since 1986, and previously practiced with Coopers & Lybrand.

Keith's diverse expertise in the financial services practice includes experience ranging from broker-dealers in securities and commodities to investment companies and mutual funds throughout the international securities markets.

Keith has been auditing and providing fund administration for funds in the United States for over 15 years and currently leads KRFS in providing fund administration services as well as providing guidance to Kaufman Rossin's hedge fund audit practice. He also serves as Director for KRFS Cayman.

He graduated from the University of Florida's College of Business Administration in December 1982, with a Bachelor's in Accounting. Keith is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He co-authored "Starting Up an Offshore Fund" in Offshore Finance USA in 2003 (Spring).



Jorge de Cardenas, CPA

Jorge de Cardenas is a principal of Kaufman, Rossin & Co., and a co-founder and Director of Kaufman Rossin Fund Services (KRFS). Employed with the Kaufman, Rossin family since 1993, Jorge is responsible for the corporate direction, operations, personnel recruiting and training, and business development for KRFS. His experience includes fund structuring, development of front, middle and back-office policies and procedures, preparation of operations manuals, management and investor financial reporting, and compliance testing.

Jorge is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Georgia and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He earned his bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of North Florida. He co-authored "Starting Up an Offshore Fund" in Offshore Finance USA in 2003 (Spring).



Robert A. Kaufman

Robert Kaufman joined Kaufman Rossin & Co. in 1989, and is a principal of Kaufman, Rossin & CO., and a Director of KRFS. He is the principal technician of almost every aspect of the Firm's financial services practice, including U.S. regulatory reporting and compliance.

Robert has created supervisory and operating manuals for both front and back office operations, establishing the Firm's fund services practice, and currently leads the Firm's hedge fund audit practice. Robert also has significant expertise in audit and consulting engagements for broker-dealers, CFTC regulated entities, and domestic and offshore mutual funds.

He earned his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.



Timothy LeBrun

Timothy LeBrun is a Director of KRFS, and Director of Taxation for Kaufman Rossin & Co. His expertise in taxation of hedge funds, private equity partnerships, and insurance companies is an important resource for our team. For example, he has been involved in calculating tax adjustments for trading and investment security partnerships, including wash sales, constructive sales, straddles, section 1256, section 988, OID and market discount adjustments.

Tim joined Kaufman Rossin in 2005. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in New York. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters in Taxation from Long Island University.



Josh Altchek

Josh Altchek is a Director of KRFS. Josh has been with the fund services department at Kaufman, Rossin & Co. since 1998, and now helps to manage all aspects of fund accounting and back office services. He is responsible for overseeing all of the accounting teams, development and enhancement of policies and procedures, and personnel recruiting for KRFS. His experience includes fund startup, all fund structures and investment vehicles, preparation of operations manuals and department standards.

His prior experience includes work for a New York commodities broker, and in the healthcare industry.

Josh earned his Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida, majoring in Finance.



Keith Diamond, MBA, ACAMS

Keith Diamond serves as the Compliance Officer for the KRFS investor services group. He has been with the Kaufman, Rossin & Co. family since 2003. In addition to his duties as Compliance Officer, he also focuses on assisting new clients in transitioning to Fund Services, and improving internal processes and operating procedures.

Prior to joining the firm, he gained ten years of financial services experience, including more than four years working for KPMG Consulting's Financial Services group. During this time he worked both in NY and London helping large asset managers implement strategic business and technology solutions.

Keith earned his MBA in Finance from New York University, and is ACAMS certified.



Christine Egan

Christine Egan joined KRFS in 2006, as Business Development Manager. In addition to her strong sales skills, Christine brings a wealth of operational and best practice experience gained from her nearly 20 years on Wall Street. Her experience in the hedge fund services industry includes sales, marketing, technology infrastructure and systems, and client relationship management.

Christine graduated from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts with a bachelor's degree in accounting, and is an active member of 100 Women in Hedge Funds.



Gregory M. Levy

Gregory M. Levy, is a shareholder of Kaufman, Rossin & Co. and a Director of KRFS. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' (AICPA) Investment Company Expert Panel.

Mr. Levy is a leader in the Firm's investment company practice, and an authority on accounting for alternative investments. He has been with Kaufman, Rossin & Co. since 1992. The AICPA is the national professional organization for all Certified Public Accountants. Its mission is to provide members with resources, information and leadership that will enable them to provide valuable services in the highest professional manner to benefit the public as well as employers and clients.

In addition to his involvement in the AICPA, Mr. Levy is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has served on its Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Illinois CPA Society. He has written and spoken widely on accounting matters for the investment industry, most recently at the Financial Research Associates' Effective Hedge Fund Tax Practices Conference in New York City. Mr. Levy received his Master of Business Administration degree from DePaul University in 1973. He received his Certificate in Applied Computer Technology in 1970 and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Roosevelt University in 1969.
